First destination for our Gold Coast holiday is Warner Brothers Movie World, which I consider it to be my heaven with my Tweety Bird!!~ I was just so excited to be in Movie World!!~

Was wondering if Movie World falls under the same company as Universal Studios? The reason why I was thinking about that question was because when I stepped into Movie World, it gave me the impression of Universal Studios Singapore. The buildings, the structures, etc etc, were somewhat similar. But I may be wrong though.

All righty… Enough of talking (even though there weren’t much?).. It’s now time for pictures (as usual)..

I’m still currently on Day 2 (18 August 2011) of my trip.. As we would be staying in Tangalooma Island for just 1 night, we had our day filled with activities.. The last activity for us was a dolphin feeding session..

Around 5.30pm, we had to wait out near the ferry terminal for the main star of the feeding session – the dolphins themselves. These dolphins aren’t owned or reared by the resort, they are the dolphins from the wild, and they even have names which I never got to find out what they were.

Before the dolphins make their appearance, the “feeders” had to queue up to feed them.. Just exactly like how you have to queue up at a celebrity’s event..

At around 6.30pm, the dolphins started to swim towards the shore, and the “feeders” wouldwalk into knee-leveled waters to interact and feed these dolphins. The weather that night was extremely cold and I admire those that went into the water to feed the dolphins, especially those who went in with just t-shirts and shorts and some were even more “pro”, they went in with just a pair of shorts.

I have been wondering whether I should continue to blog or I shall just wave goodbye to it..

Well, we shall see how it goes.. I might come back here when I’m free, which I think I’ll most likely do.. How long it’ll take me to come back here, I myself am not sure too..

When we reached “main land”, we were greeted by a more magnificent sight – the sunset.. The sunset was totally out of the world.. It was a purplish sunset, it could be common, rare,i do not know but it was definitely the 1st that I have ever seen..

Even though it looks small, there are actually many beautiful sceneries for us to see and enjoy.. After being out in the sea, we’re headed for a more dryer activity, which is the Desert Safari Tour.

The tour started off with us travelling in a 4WD car, and going through what seems like a jungle.. The roads definitely wasn’t smooth, it was more exciting this way..

After what I would consider an exciting and enjoyable ride, we finally reached our destination – the sand desert.. I was WOW-ed and amazed at the sight of it as I couldn’t really imagine seeing such a place that’s within a forest/jungle (?).. This sand desert isn’t man-made, it’s all natural.. The sand feels so soft, so fine, you’ll sink into the sand just by simply placing your two feet on it..

What we’re going to do here in the sand desert would be sand tobogganing which is also known as sand boarding. Before we’re able to sand board down the sand dune, we would have to climb up the sand dune first which isn’t that easy as it seems. We would then “push” ourselves off the sand dune with a board. There’s a position that we have to maintain when boarding down, else we would be getting sand in our hair, eyes, nose and mouth..

After seeing the whales, no matter how long the ferry journey took, it’s all worth it.. But we had to be fast to spot the whales, they only come up to the surface for a few seconds before disappearing into the water again for 3-5 mins.. And the choppy sea made it even harder to spot them.. Our group managed to spot 15 whales.

We were also kinda lucky as we also spotted a baby calf, about a few weeks old.. According to the staffs, it was also the first time they saw one. The baby calf was soo cute.. When we spotted it, I guess it was learning how to swim/bridge.. And it kept showing us how he was learning to do it, and he and his mummy whale slowly came close to us and started swimming around our vessel.. FYI, bridge refers to the action where they dive into the sea and their tail gets “stretched” out in the air.

The weather and the sea wasn’t really friendly towards us on our way to Tangalooma.. Or should I say that the sea was excited to see us and was “jumping up and down”?? hehe..

Listen to the strong wind and look at the waves.. Even the boat was moving up and down, up and down.. We even had a hard time getting off the boat..

When we arrived, we were being welcomed by a pelican and its group of friends.. Hehe.. But on the next day, we kinda realised that they were there because of the pelican feeding which happens at 11am.. Guess they were there because of their food, and not us.. haha..

After an 8 hour plane ride, we finally touched down at around 6.30am (Australian time). Going through customs was a breeze, we were out in less than 30 mins even though we were warned beforehand that it could actually take us 2 hours to get out of there as they are quite strict with their baggage checks as food-related items aren’t allowed into their country. After getting out, we were told that the custom officers were having some kind of strike?? That was why we managed to get cleared abit faster than usual..

I kinda like how the system of getting through their immigration works. In most countries, people are normally required to have their passport stamped one person at a time. But over here, people can go together as a family. It actually does help save alot of time.. And their immigration officers are super duper friendly, from my point of view. They have this huge smile on their faces, they talk to you in an upbeat tone, unlike some countries where their officers have this black face, bo chap attitude. Well, I guess it all boils down to culture differences.

After leaving the airport, we soon found ourselves at Holt Street Wharf within 15mins, waiting for the ferry to Tangalooma Island. If you were to ask me, Tangalooma can be considered as an equivalent to Singapore’s Sentosa. But we were kinda early for our ferry, about 2 1/2 hours early. We were there super early to the fact that even their office, ticketing weren’t open, and the only person we saw at the Wharf was a cleaner.. Well, I wouldn’t really call that guy a cleaner, I would rather call him an all-rounder as every few minutes, you’ll be seeing him doing different types of jobs around there. It just so happened that when he was sweeping the floor when we alighted from the bus.. hehe. There was nothing much to do around there, thus we just sat around waiting for close to 2 hours.. *yawns*

A "special" black and white crow

First trip to a country that is out of Asia.. It was around 8 hours flight to reach Brisbane airport.. Thinking that it was gonna be a long plane journey, we decided to make full use of the dinner buffet voucher at SATS premier club..

However, the dinner wasn’t really necessary as we were being fed “non-stop” on board the plane.. Few minutes after the plane takes off, we get beverages.. About an hour or so into the flight, we get dinner with dessert.. Then an hour later, we get beverages again.. Soon after, we get refreshments, bread, biscuits, etc.. Whoa.. Totally full throughout the flight.. Managed to catch a few movies on board the plane since I couldn’t sleep throughout the whole 8 hours.. And… Argh.. I was almost done watching 2012, when they had to “close” their entertainment system.. What a cliff-hanger…

Taking the plane in the middle of the night can be both good and bad.. Bad = can’t sleep.. Good = the view out of the window.. Seeing the moon from up in the sky is as though it’s just next to us..

Not only was the moon beautiful.. The sunrise was equally magnificent.. Imagine seeing the sunrise in/above the sky..

Anyway, last Fri (15 Jul), the Korean Music Wave 2011 was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.. And the lucky me managed to get tix to it at a rather last min.. However, I was late and missed F.T Island which was the opening act.. Kinda sad, since they were one of the bands that I was hoping to see… But nevertheless, I still managed to catch other awesome acts, so it’s ok..

The groups/bands that performed that night were F.T Island, Touch, Dal-Shabet, X-5, Teen Top, The Boss,U-Kiss, Miss A, 2ne1 and Big Bang.

As the night got darker and as the groups that were left to perform become lesser, the crowd grew more “high”.. Felt like the indoor stadium was about to collapse(literally) when 2ne1 appeared.. Not to mention Big Bang.. It was totally wild when they appeared.. Could feel the ground where we seated almost shaking (p.s it’s real when i say it’s shaking)..
