Deliciously Thursday Night

Had a splendid dinner at Chinatown.. Delicious food at low prices.. Who said that hawker centers are worst than restaurants?!

First off is this lime juice.. I’ve got to mention this special lime juice!!~ In what way is it special, you might ask.. Well, it’s made from PURE lime, and just lime alone. 25-30 limes are used for this cup of lime juice.. And just in case you find it not sour enough (which i don’t think you’ll feel that way), another 5 limes are given to you, just in case you wanna squeeze it into your drink.. I’ve got to admit that this is a good and refreshing drink..

We ordered BBQ Stingray.. This is one of the best that I’ve tried.. Meat is just super tender, it’s just so soft that it melts in your mouth.. The spiciness is also just right, not salty.. *DELICIOUS*

Lala...

Dinner by The River…..

Had dinner by the River today, except that it wasn’t at any fanciful restaurant.. It was at Clarke Quay’s Food Street which was held in conjunction with Singapore Food Fest..

Huge variety of local delicacies could be found here, all in one place.. But I wouldn’t really say that they were fantastic or anything.. I bet we could find better tasting food at the hawker centres at a cheaper price..

Ordered Hainanese Chicken Rice Balls since it has been a long time since we had it.. And it’s kinda hard to find a stall selling it in Singapore.. The rice balls were nice, and with the combination of the chilli sauce, it was “lagi best”!!!~ However, I wouldn’t say the same for the chicken.. hahaz.. It just wasn’t that tasty enough, and the chicken had this strong “chicky smell”…

♥Sachoom!!~~♥

Went to watch Sachoom yesterday before heading to Rat’s birthday party.. It was way better than I had expected.. The show started 15 mins later than the scheduled timing. It was apparently due to the NDP road blocks.. But, what amazed me was the announcement that was made.. It went something like this :

The show will start 15 mins later than the stipulated timing due to the NDP roadblock. We hope for your kind understanding

See anything wrong with this announcement?? No?? Well, apparently this announcement was made only when that “15 mins” was over – which is to say the show started right after this announcement was made.. Shouldn’t this have been made like 15mins ago??

Well, everything was well worth the wait.. Sachoom started off with a bang with introducing the main cast through a video.. Everyone cheered the moment they saw the announcement that was made, informing that we were welcome to take as many pictures and videos as we like..

As usual with most of the shows that I’ve been to, Sachoom also had interactions with the audience, but this time, it was even more than other shows.. Surprisingly, the audience this time were more sporting, guess it must have been due to Sachoom’s wonderful performance that brought the house down.. 🙂

This show is really AMAZING with a perfect combination of the wonderful performers, their powerful dancing, awesome music and superb lightings!!~

During the last part of their performance, they even got the audience to stand up and dance along with, which almost everyone did.. So I guess that this show was one successful performance.. Oh man, what am I saying.. It’s DEFINITELY a huge sucess!!~ 🙂

As usual (again), there was a photo session with the cast.. And this time round, I managed to take a picture with them (or rather him).. For the other shows that I’ve been to, there was always a limit of just 50 audience who will get to take group pictures with the cast. This time round, I don’t think there was a limit? However, it’s an individual picture with a particular performer instead of the whole group.. But who cares when you can get a picture right? Haha.. 🙂 p.s This the 1st time I saw Mum so enthu, she was so excited to take a picture with the cast.. Lol.. 😡

*Bonus pic of the Esplanade* Being a Singaporean, I’m ashamed to know that there was actually such a view of the Esplanade.. *slaps myself*

*wow.. I can’t imagine I typed so much.. I guess my brain cells only work in the middle of the night.. :x*

A look of the casino

Headed down to the IT fair today with the thought that there isn’t gonna be alot of people… But I was wrong, AGAIN!! Why is it that my gut feeling is always wrong??! Lol

Had wanted to get a wireless router, but went home empty handed instead.. Lol…

Headed down to Marina Bay Sands to buy some things at Crabtree&Evelyn and at the same time to have dinner.. Settled dinner at The Imperial Chinese Fine Cuisine.. I was too afraid to go in at first as the sight of it scared me.. Lol.. But the food there was nice, the price was reasonable too, and not to mention, awesome service!!~~

Managed to catch a glance of the casino after dinner.. It’s really huge, and the view of the casino hurt my eyes – everything was 密密麻麻.. Lol

Down the “Orchard Lane”

Treated Mummy to an early Mother’s Day lunch yesterday at Taste Paradise, ION.. Guess that place is really famous since we had to wait for one hour plus to get a table.. But it was really worth the wait at the food there was really nice, and they really put in alot of effort into the presentation of the dish. Headed over to the most “sinful” place – HMV.. lolx..

After walking around Orchard for few hours, we headed over to Jurong to meet Rachael & family for dinner.. Searched for the seafood restaurant that mummy has been talking about, and luckily, we managed to find it..

The crabby with the hair

Since it was still rather early after dinner, we decided to head back down to Orchard Road to take a look at the Vesak Day event outside Ngee Ann City..

Night out at USS

So today was a public holiday and my off day.. But yet, I appeared at USS.. This time, as a guest to the park.. YAHOO!!~~ Well, to be exact, it’s just 1/4 of the park.. haha.. So, after the house warming party, we decided to head down to USS for the $2 promotion where the public get to enter the Hollywood Zone from 7-9pm.. When we reached, the queue at the entrance was already super long.. Waited for 7pm to come while we were suffering in the heat with the huge crowd.. Finally, 7pm is here, and in we go!!!~~

Walked around briefly before heading to the best spot to catch the pyrotechnic display,or rather fireworks, as what we “village bums” would call it..

Quick update about me..

As you can see,I’ve been trying my best to bring my blog back to life.. lolx.. Started work on Monday, not so bad but extremely tiring.. And it’s making me feel as though I’ve got no life.. Look at my routine : Wake up at 10am–> Leave for work around 11+am –>Start work –> End work at 8+pm –> Reach home around 10pm –> Sleep –> Wake up.. And this goes on and on.. *yawns* Looks like working life isnt easy eh.. Well, now I know..

Working the whole of this week except today and Sunday.. But I still find that it’s not enough time for me.. hahaz..No idea when I’m gonna complete my “Shandong/Henan Trip’s story”..

Went for my Basic Theory Test today, and I finally passed!!! Ironically, there were alot of questions where I didnt know how to answer and was preparing myself for failure, but in the end I still passed!! *happy happy*.. Booked for my driving lessons next week, and I’m gonna have my hands on the car’s steering wheel soon.. lol.. I’m gonna chiong all the way for my driving.. I wanna pass it ASAP!!

Not quite a bad start

It was the first day of work…

Well, i guess it can be considered as work??

Got to be on the “actual” sales floor, even though it was only for the last few hours..

It felt way different from training.. Got to interact with real guests..

Also did some “familiarization” in the morning, folding of clothes and assessment in the afternoon..

Assessment was easier than i thought.. Assessors were super helpful.. 🙂

Didn’t expected them to have way more casuals than full-timers..

Managed to catch a glimpse of the park…

It might be small, but it’s just way tooooooo beautiful!!!~~

I’ll definitely visit it one day! I PROMISE!!

Just to sum up day 1 – Fun, exciting but tired…

Let’s just hope that the fun and excitement wouldn’t wear off that fast, which i guess it eventually will..

Day 1 and it’s orientation

Went for my orientation today..

Initially, I was thinking: OMG!! 10 DAYS!! NO WAY am I gonna survive it..

But…

After today, I guess it isnt gonna be that hard..

Orientation was fun… The trainer really made it an enjoyable one..

Got to know many new amazing friends too..

Managed to get an “insight” of how the resorts and attractions really look like..

And…..

They’re really beautiful, and now its gonna be hard to stop myself from paying to get in..

I definitely have to get in at least once…

Too bad, no perks for Casuals.. 😦 lolx..
