STAR Concert

Back from the awesome STAR concert, organised by the Straits Time. The best thing about this concert was it’s location – Gardens by the Bay, with Marina Bay Sands as the stage’s backdrop. Even though it was planned to last for 3 hours, it ended an hour later. Well, it was kinda expected as the performers (especially the foreign guest performers) got to perform at least 5-6 songs. p.s it isn’t a bad thing though, definitely well worth the ticket price. Hottest performers definitely had to be Boys Like Girls and 4 Minute. 😀

Korean Music Wave 2011

I’m finally back after 4 months (??) hehe.. :X

Anyway, last Fri (15 Jul), the Korean Music Wave 2011 was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.. And the lucky me managed to get tix to it at a rather last min.. However, I was late and missed F.T Island which was the opening act.. Kinda sad, since they were one of the bands that I was hoping to see… 😦 But nevertheless, I still managed to catch other awesome acts, so it’s ok.. 😀

The groups/bands that performed that night were F.T Island, Touch, Dal-Shabet, X-5, Teen Top, The Boss,U-Kiss, Miss A, 2ne1 and Big Bang.

As the night got darker and as the groups that were left to perform become lesser, the crowd grew more “high”.. Felt like the indoor stadium was about to collapse(literally) when 2ne1 appeared.. Not to mention Big Bang.. It was totally wild when they appeared.. Could feel the ground where we seated almost shaking (p.s it’s real when i say it’s shaking)..

Oh Joonsung Drama Concert

Attended Oh Joonsung Drama Concert tonight.. What can I say, the concert was awesome.. I’m not saying that because it’s bout Kpop.. But the orchestra band itself is really great.. Oh Joonsung himself is really a great composer.. Even though there was a language barrier, but he managed to whoa the crowd with his music.. He knew how to make the crowd go “wild”. lolx.. He’s really one cute guy *oops*… Kept making all the fangirls go super wild by saying out “DBSK is my friend”, “SJ is my friend”, “SHINee is my friend”, “f(x) is my friend”… Cute right??!!

Guests for the show were Mario&, BOBBY KIM and SHINee… All of them look way different from when I see them on TV, especially BOBBY KIM!! So much younger and so much handsome.. *hehe* There wasnt only instrumental pieces being played, there were also vocalists and the guests who sang along to the song.. And their voices are just so awesome!!~~

I guess I’m growing old liao, since by right, I’m supposed to go mad upon seeing SHINee, but instead I was head over heels with BOBBY KIM!! *melts* Love his voice to the max!!! Sadly, couldnt take much pictures except for SHINee since the moment they appeared, you could see a “sea of cameras”, and the ushers couldnt “stop all of them/us”, so I joined in and took pictures.. hahaz.. But no BOBBY KIM and Mario& pictures.. 😦 No cameras were out during their performance, thus I couldnt take, if not sure kena caught.. lolx..

Enjoyed the whole concert, but the only thing that I didnt like was many people left the moment SHINee performed finish.. Most of the audience were rushing outside to queue up for the autograph session which was after the show.. I find it kinda rude and unrespectful to Oh Joonsung and the other performers.. They left right in the middle of a performance and exactly when Oh Joonsung was speaking to the crowd.. All of them were running out.. *tsk tsk* And nope, I didnt stay for the autograph session.. Told you I was getting old, and not so interested in “youngster things”.. wahahhaha

Michael Learns To Rock ROCKS!!~~

It looks like it will soon be a routine to blog many days worth of posts in a single post.. lolx.. I’m just so extremely tired after work each day, that I can just fall asleep the moment i reach home.. But ironically, I would feel more tired when there’s not many cases to solve..But i woudl rather feel even more tired.. lolx..Anyways, let’s talk aboot Friday and Saturday, shall we I??

Friday (4 Sept 09)

As usual, had work in the morning.. It was the last day that we would have the “ex-interns” helping us out.. We’re gonna be on our own from next week onwards.. Hope we’ll do fine.. And time really passes very fast, 1 week of attachment has passed, and another 11 more weeks to go…

In the evening, met up with Jie Grace and her friends… We went to watch Michael Learns To Rock concert at Fort Canning.. So happy!!~~ Jie Grace sponsored me the tix.. So happy!!~~ *again*.. lolx.. We packed Long John over but we ended up eating it outside since no food was allowed.. :p

The concert was great!!~ It was free seating, on the grass/field… 几Romantic一下… I really loooove this concert alot.. They were great even with no fanciful stage, fanciful performances etc.. Their voices were superb, their “live” were awesome..

Since it was a free seating, you can go all the way to the front, and nobody will stop you.. The closest that I could get to the stage was around 1 metre.. They were just 1 metre in front of me.. AHHHHHH!!!!!~~~~ I’ve never gotten that close to a stage before.. I was literally going crazy, inside of me.. :p

Saturday (5 Sept 09)

Went to Joo Chiat, or somewhere around there for seafood dinner.. And the queue to get a table was scary.. It was the first time I saw such a queue for a restaurant/shop.. But thankfully enough, the food was nice.. And their black pepper crab was huge.. And it was amazing as to how this restaurant can have their crabs and rice sold out!!!

Fahrenheit Concert

Back from Fahrenheit’s Concert a few hours ago.. what else can i say bout the concert besides its awesome?? lolx.. we reached there kinda early as we had wanted to find the security guardhouse to get the tickets… the moment we got off the bus, we heard this bunch of gals screaming, and gals running from one end of the stadium to the other end.. And before i knew it, i was being pulled by Ting towards the direction of where the gals were running.. Fahrenheit was offering prayers just before the concert, no wonder the gals got so excited..

The concert was kinda full of surprises.. Each member performed their own talents… For Aaron, it was definitely the piano, Jiro was obviously the Guitar, Calvin was surprsingly the Beatbox, and Wu Chun was obviously something to do with “martial arts”(psps, cant find the word to describe it)…

And not forgetting, there was a little segment of “Old School” where they sang rather “olden classic songs” in English, Chinese & Cantonese.. My favourite was Uptown Girl… Special guest of the night was Jade Liu…

The lighting effects at the concert was superb.. There were many many many lightings at this concert, making the stage look nice(made me feel as though it was a rock concert).. There was also a runway for the stage, which made me feel it was a fashion show.. hahaz.. This time round, the sound system was kinda loud, and i mean deafening loud, but it helped out in getting the crowd “high”.. Overall, i found the concert to be a “cheerful”&”playful” one..

Korean Pop Night Concert 2008

just gotten back from the Korean Pop Night concert..
Thanks to Rhowena for getting the tix fer me..
went with Min’s cousin and 2 friends from the Soompi forum.. made some new friends..
the seats i gotten wasnt too bad..
this concert is somewhat like “Singapore-Korea Friendship Concert”..
The singers were great!! (looks like my cd list is gonna increase once again)..
the stage, wasnt that great.. but wat can we expect when the concert is free..
List of artists : JunJin, Chae Yeon, Jewelry,Lee An, Carrie Yeo, Kim Jong Wook, Andy,V.O.S, 2PM, U-Kiss & Wonder Girls..
All of them looked VERY different as seen on TV programs.. They looked much more fabulous..
Especially Nickhun!!! wahaha..

F.I.R’s 第十行星 Concert

went to F.I.R’s 第十行星 concert..
the layout of the stage this time was different from the previous concerts .
the layout was definitely an advantage to us cos the stage was somewat directly infront of us, and we wouldnt have to turn sideways to see the stage.. and the stage was also quite close to us, and we can see the concert clearly..

The concert was great, i loved the lightings effect.. It was really very nice, something like wat u see at those “laser shows”..
but sadly, the 气氛 wasnt that high…
and the special guest was Jam Hsiao!!!
1st time seeing him “in-person” and also 1st time hearing him sing live..
and i can say that he really has great and powerful vocals.. and he also really lives up to his nick : 省话一哥..hahaz

this time round, i told myself to enjoy the concert and not to be so “engrossed” in taking pics. and i DID it.. hahaz.. i only took pics when there was something special.. wahaha..

Icaru won today’s Mr Sunshine.. its defintely a very very surprising win… he wasnt even leading in any of the rounds..
he’s one of the fav contestant that i like, but then its like its really very surprising lor, its like hw can Mr Cool and Mr Sunshine ever get linked together..
I think this time, he’s sure to get into Top 4 le, so YIIPPEE!!!

2008 Splash Awards & 五月天离开地球表面08演唱会

had a superb duperb great day yest despite the fact that i had sprained my ankle on fri, and spraining the same ankle yet again yest..
had great fun thanks to splash awards and Mayday’s concert..

helped out at the splash awards held at SMU, its something like a programming competition.
the room that i was taking belonged to the secondary sch category, and when i saw the qn, i was like ……. i’ll never be able to do it, and best still, i dun even noe hw to use .net and php to programme it..
we had to stay in the room like frm 9+ all the way to 4, doing almost nth at all.. we juz had to stay in the room in to “invigilate” them, in case they need any help.. but they were supposed to ask their doubts thru msn to the committe, and thus, all we had to do, is juz to sit there and do nth..
so, it was verrrryyyyyy boring lor… but nevertheless, i somewat found it fun. .
after helping out, me and min went to kino!!! yippee!!! bought danson’s book… cool man, sooo mani pics of him inside.. wahaha..

headed down to kallang leisure park to find makan and i decided on siew mai, coz all the queues were sooo long, and almost no seats to be found..
ate and watched this dog competition at the same time.. saw many dogs over there, and i saw quite a number of my fav, husky.. kawaii nei…

when time was slowly approaching 8pm, went over to SIS fer concert…
Mayday’s concert was great even without any fanciful costumes, sleek dance moves,special guest.. they made the concert marvelous with juz their music talents, and their vocals..
all i can say is, this concert was realli realli happening, realli realli very very “HIGH”..
i noe i said there too fer jay chou’s concert, but Mayday’s concert is far more high then jay’s..
the moment the concert, the whole stadium was on their feet, screaming, jumping… and it lasted fer the whole 3 hours, only sitting down, when Mayday went down to change their costumes…

the concert started off with 4 guys rappelling down the stadium thru the ceiling.. cooool man..
the lighting effects fer the concert was awesome..
this time round, Mayday had a 360 degree stage… with part of it being suspense in the air while it was nt being used, and at that time, it would be used as lighting.. wat a great “invention”, a 2-in-1 usage…
while Mayday went round, the crowd was even more high..
hmmmm, dunno wat to say le, coz i was toooo high during their concert, and all these cant be represented in words, only fer me to know the “feel” can le.. hahaz..
