1 Night 2 Days in Malacca 2010 Part 3

Started Day 2 of our Malacca trip by visiting a temple, located in Jonker Walk. Visiting Jonker Walk in the morning was like visiting a totally different place, as compared to visiting it on the previous night. All the vibe, the crowd, the stalls felt like it had just disappeared into thin air..

1 Night 2 Days in Malacca 2010 Part 2

Visited the Night Market at Jonker Walk. Having visited Malacca for so many times, this was actually our first time visiting the Night Market. It’s because this night market falls only on weekends, from 6pm onwards. This time around, I’ve gotten a whole new insight to Jonker Walk – the beautifully lit trishaws; the friendly locals; the night view of Christ Church Melaka, etc. I can’t believe how one place can be so different in the night. Even the rain couldn’t damper the liveliness of Jonker Walk Night Market.

1 Night 2 Days in Malacca 2010 Part 1

This will be the 2nd time we’re visiting Malacca for this year.. And I’ve already self-proclaimed Malacca to be my 2nd home due to the fact that we’ve been visiting Malacca at least once every year. But the major difference about this trip is we’re visiting Malacca as a group, a group of 80 people, instead of the usual 2 of us, and also this trip falls on a weekend which we had always tried to avoid on previous trips.

Back from Malacca

I’m back from Malacca after a 3 days, 2 nights trip.. 🙂 This time, Godma came along, and I guess we had a lot of fun, hopefully.. Like always, after returning from Malacca, I would grow darker by alot.. The sun over in Malacca seems alot different then Singapore’s sun.. When the sun shines on you in Malacca, it’s painful.. I grew darker in just a few hours 😦

“Tour-ed” the whole of Malacca’s tourist attractions within the 2nd day.. Was extremely tired after all those walking, not to mention that the sun played a major part in draining us out.. hahaz.. Find that Malacca is actually a kinda small place since their attractions are all within a walking distance.. After going there every year, it seems that nothing has changed.. Malacca can slowly be considered as my 2nd home.. lolx..

Shall stop here and post up the pictures soon since I believe pictures can “talk” more about my trip.. Better rest early since I’m gonna take my Basic Theory Test early tomorrow morning.. Hopefully, I can pass the Test… *prays hard*..

Attractions of Malacca

Finally, this would be the last post on my Malacca trip…

During this trip, we managed to visit most of the attractions in Malacca.. Luckily, our hotel was very near to these attracations, just a 10 mins walk away.. and all these attractions are located very close to one another, which i’m not sure if its a good thing or not, since we finished all within 2 hours.. hahaz…

River all round
Well, i’m nt sure whether to call it a river or wat.. on this trip, i just realised lots of river running thru the town, which i’ve neglected on the past trips..

Food/Street of Malacca

Food of Malacca

Whenever we visit Malacca, we’ll never fail to eat the Chicken Rice Ball.. Its kinda hard to find it in Singapore.. The only stall I knew has since been closed down.. So, we definitely wouldnt miss it for the world when we were in Malacca.. hahaz.. Actually, the food in Malacca is almost the same as Singapore, just that, its much much much more cheaper… For example, we were having dinner at a restaurant, and we ordered like 1 fish, 1 sweet sour chicken, 1 vegetable, and it only cost 30RM.. if converted to SGD, it would only be SGD $13..

Tried their Ice Kachang, it tastes better than Singapore’s.. Instead of having it in the shape of a “hill”, theirs came in the shape of a ball.. 0.0 Ball shape again?? Looks like they enjoy having their food round?? hahaz.. I also found their Milo packaging cute.. Instead of the square shape packaging that we see in Singapore, theirs is a rectangular shape..

Streets of Malacca
The street in Malacca is so much different from Singapore.. The roads there are extremely wide, and mostly one-way… While on the streets, caught sight of this “traditional” double decker bus.. its as though like it came straight out from the storybooks.. hahaz..

Bayview Hotel Melaka

The view that we can get from the hotel we were staying wasnt that bad.. There were 2 different views that we could get from the different rooms.. 1 was the sea view and the other would be what i call the “tombstone” view since lots of tombstones could be seen.. hahaz..

Firstly, This is the “tombstone” view, with lots of houses :

And this would be the sea view.. The sea which can be seen right at the back of the pic looks as though there’s no ending..

And finally, the interior of the hotel is just like decorations “overdue-ed”. Their CNY decorations were still up, and CNY ended like a few months ago?? and the ox that they had in their lobby was just huge!!
This hotel doesnt give me the feeling that I’m in malaysia, especially with its “Tang Dyansty” type of seats and deco which could be found in the 1st pic.. p.s that isnt part of their CNY deco..

FYI, the hotel i stayed at was Bayview Hotel, Melaka.. ^^

Malacca’s Sunrise

The one thing that i like when i go to malacca would definitely be the view of the sunrise from the hotel room.. And, luckily, this time, we gotten the room on the highest floor of the hotel, so the view from the room was great..

In order to see the sunrise, i woke up very early on the 2 mornings.. But sadly, the clouds were blocking the sun on the 1st morning.. So, i had no choice but to get up early on the 2nd morning.. Finally, i got to see the sunrise after missing it sooo many times..

The time these pictures were taken are in order.. p.s click on the pics for a bigger/better view.. and i’ll try to get the rest of the pics up ASAP.. no idea why, but suddenly no mood to upload the pictures.. hahaz
