Ah Boys To Men 2

As a Singaporean, I guess everyone is aware of Ah Boys To Men…

If you have not heard about it, you ought to be ashamed cos even my 4 year old godson knows about it and is way in love with it. I myself am amazed at how much he knows about it, he knows how to sing the recruit anthem, which even his 23 year old godma doesn’t. I ought to be ashamed of myself.. Hehe.. He even knows the names of the characters in the movie just by looking at their picture.. And his favorite character is Sergeant Ong, Recruit Ken Chow…

He was so happy when he borrowed the DVD of the movie, and when his dad tried to bluff him saying he forgot to take the DVD along, oh my, was so angry and *pi li pa la* he started”scolding” his dad for bullying him.. Lol.. He’s just soooo cute…

Well, that’s not really the main point for this post, but it was just too cute that I had the urge to share..

I can’t believe how many times I have actually watched it and yet still have the urge to watch it again.. Watching with my cousin who survived Tekong is certainly different when watching with others/alone… This movie has really shed some light on what Singaporean boys have to go through in Tekong As I got to realize that many parts in the movie were indeed true, such as the exercises portrayed in the movie, the standby organs, etc etc.. And best of all, it seems like you are really able to “attack” when the “wife” gets stolen during the exercise… I’ve always thought these parts were made up just for the sake of the movie’s entertainment value..

The best army movie after army daze.. And I foresee myself watching it a few more times.. steady Lah!!~

STAR Concert

Back from the awesome STAR concert, organised by the Straits Time. The best thing about this concert was it’s location – Gardens by the Bay, with Marina Bay Sands as the stage’s backdrop. Even though it was planned to last for 3 hours, it ended an hour later. Well, it was kinda expected as the performers (especially the foreign guest performers) got to perform at least 5-6 songs. p.s it isn’t a bad thing though, definitely well worth the ticket price. Hottest performers definitely had to be Boys Like Girls and 4 Minute. 😀

It’s been a while…

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged and I can see where I have left off on my posts about my Gold Coast Trip.

I have been wondering whether I should continue to blog or I shall just wave goodbye to it..

Well, we shall see how it goes.. I might come back here when I’m free, which I think I’ll most likely do.. How long it’ll take me to come back here, I myself am not sure too..

Korean Music Wave 2011

I’m finally back after 4 months (??) hehe.. :X

Anyway, last Fri (15 Jul), the Korean Music Wave 2011 was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.. And the lucky me managed to get tix to it at a rather last min.. However, I was late and missed F.T Island which was the opening act.. Kinda sad, since they were one of the bands that I was hoping to see… 😦 But nevertheless, I still managed to catch other awesome acts, so it’s ok.. 😀

The groups/bands that performed that night were F.T Island, Touch, Dal-Shabet, X-5, Teen Top, The Boss,U-Kiss, Miss A, 2ne1 and Big Bang.

As the night got darker and as the groups that were left to perform become lesser, the crowd grew more “high”.. Felt like the indoor stadium was about to collapse(literally) when 2ne1 appeared.. Not to mention Big Bang.. It was totally wild when they appeared.. Could feel the ground where we seated almost shaking (p.s it’s real when i say it’s shaking)..

Here are some pics and videos that I managed to take.. They’re not very clear since I wasn’t anywhere near the stage, and my camera wasn’t a good one to start with.. hehe.. :X
