Welcome to the 21-ers club!!~~ 1 more to go before all 4 of us are 21.. hahaz.. Rat held her party at SAF Seaview Resort.. What can I say, it’s just like staying in a condo, except for the sudden appearance of those giant flying ant which got some people screaming and jumping about.. hahaz..
Rat’s birthday cake is just awesome.. But heard the poor dog being called a porcupine instead..
How time really flies, the end of October is approaching in a few mins time.. Before we know it, it’s gonna be a brand new month, and soon, it would be a new year..
Anyway, met up with Rat and Xue today after work today to have dinner at Orchard Central.. We had Korean food at this restaurant called 항아리 갈비. They serve authentic Korean food, focusing on BBQ.. We deicded to order some broiled pork, Chicken stuffed with Glutinous rice, Mixed vegetables and many more.. We even ordered Soju, which was a big mistake for us, or maybe for me.. lol.. cos i ended up drinking most of it..:p The food there was nice, there was a variety of side dishes that were being served FOC.. The only food that we didnt really like was the chicken stuffed with glutinous rice, it wasnt that nice as the rice were all being “lost” when the chicken was being cut open, so we couldnt really taste the flavour of it.. Other than that, everything else was delicious.. Wrapping the BBQ-ed pork in lettuce wraps was simply heaven.. One thing I like about this place is that their “BBQ area” is next to the table instead of in the middle.. This way, we wouldnt be smelling like BBQ smoke after the meal.. And should I mention that the staff there would BBQ for you instead of you having to BBQ it yourself.. Rather good service too..
Something funny happened while I was pouring the Soju, I overshot the cup, and it got poured into the sauce for the lettuce wrap.. In the end, we tried dipping the pork into that “Soju-filled sauce”.. Guess what?? It doesnt taste that bad, but be prepared to be whacked by the super strong Soju effect.. lolx.. The whole meal caused us about $130?? Quite affordable ba, considering the food portion more than enough to feed the 3 of us..
After dinner, we settled for dessert at Gelare.. That place was scary since the moment you lift up your head, there’s a rock climbing wall right above you.. And you’ll get the fear that those people might suddenly fall on you.. wahahah.. that was the case for me though.. Walked over to Ion, had initially wanted to shop at Uniqlo.. But I didnt realise that they close at 10.. I thought they would open longer over the weekends, since Orchard is like a shopping district.. Well, guess I’m wrong.. Oh, and this year’s Xmas lightings, I’m totally speechless.. On one side, its too “over-coloured”, while on the other side, its too “under-coloured”. OMG!!

On Sunday, we headed down to Jurong Point for a Japanese buffet lunch.. There was a wide selection of food.. Ate till literally bloated.. 😡 And the GST and Service charge was enough to kill us.. And it was also my 1st time trying fondue..
Remember this post here ?? The post where I blogged about Ting coming back for a short holiday.. Perhaps we can call it as our last meet-up for the year where all 4 of us get together. It has been an extremely long time since all 4 of us met up ever since Ting went to Australia to study.. And when Ting comes back at the end of the year, I would be off in BeiJing and would only be back next year, thus strictly speaking, we’ve got to wait till next year before we get to meet. 😦

My Dear Ting is finally back!!~~ But, for just 2 short weeks.. I really had a hard time hiding it from Xue and Rat.. Almost suffered a heart attack from it.. lolx.. Met up with her yesterday and headed down to Orchard Road, I felt like I was bringing a tourist around Orchard Road, and I guessed I failed at being a good tour guide.. Had lunch at Pasta de Waraku, it was kinda cheap since they were having 25% off for students.. Decided to surprise Rat by going to find her together with Ting.. And her reaction when she saw Ting was damm funny.. *I’m so bad* Walked around Ion b4 heading back to Yishun.. Had actually wanted to surprise Xue, but decided to wait till today.. Had a short walk around Northpoint b4 heading down to Chong Pang to have dinner with Rachael & Family..
Today has finally arrived!!~ The day where my dark secret would finally be revealed.. lolx..Met up with Ting first before springing a surprise on Xue.. But sadly though, her reaction wasnt as great as Rat’s.. lolx.. Dennis gave us a lift down to Jurong Point.. We had lunch at a Japanese restaurant that was serving buffet.. The food there was nice, just that there was kinda limited choices.. I especially loved the scallop porridge, it was yummy.. The ice-cream was nice, and should I mention that the specially made “Salmon Sashimi Chocolate Fondue” was extremely yummy too.. lolx.. Was extremely bloated when we left. *burp*..Nothing else to do, without having any movies to watch, we headed down to Jurong’s Safra to have a game of pool.. Felt sianz after 2 rounds, and we didnt managed to win a single match against Ting & Dennis.. Decided to “part” from there..
Got a lift to Jurong East MRT, and Xue, Rat & Me went down to Causeway to meet Mummy.. Wanted to take a look at lappys.. But in the end, we decided to head down to Bishan’s Best Denki instead.. Trained down, with Rat leaving us.. hahaz.. Had dinner at Crystal Jade, and I just realised that I ate Scallop porridge again!!~~ Went up to Best to get my Lappy!!~ Yippee!!~~ I’m loving my lappy now, but still trying extremely extremely hard to get use to it..

Celebrated Rat’s Birthday yesterday.. We went to Marina Barrage as she suggested, but the person who complained about the hot weather the most was her.. lolx.. There werent many people when we went, but when we were leaving, the crowd just grew alot… I guess all of them are camping there for the National Day Fireworks.. Took quite alot of photos today.. We went in to the Gallery to take a look and there was this “section” with a structure that keeps changing to lights of different colour, and it was so beautiful.. In the gallery, we even took a picture together and sent it as an e-card.. But the lighting was soo dark.. and we turned out kinda black.. hahaz..
After Marina Barrage, I and Xue went to Marina Square while Rat went home.. Had nothing to do, so we decided to go sing Kbox.. Well, not we sing, is Xue sing.. hahaz.. After that, had dinner at Xin Wang Taiwan Cafe, the food there was nice and affordable…
Too bad Ting wasnt with us this year.. All of our birthdays this year can never have the complete B.I.S.Y family.. sigh.. 😦
Lunched at Kid’s World’s KFC since that was the only choice for us.. After renovation works, Kid’s World now looks more beautiful than before.. We also managed to catch the White Tiger’s feeding session… The meat that the tigers eat is kinda huge, and they can really catch the meat quite accurately, think its all because of the food.. hahaz… Took the boat ride since its included in the package, and it was really BORING!!~~ but, the scenery throughout the boat ride was very nice…
Nothing much to say since we spent the whole day there, and its gonna be extremely hard for me to list it one by one… so, just wait up for the pics eh… i doubt it’ll be up that soon, since there’s like 200+ pics, and i’m gonna be rather busy this week with all my presentations & projects.. So, please be patient, and I’ll post the pics up ASAP…
Went out with Rat today to Tampines… This time, when I sms-ed her to tell her that i was reaching, she was still asleep.. dotz… another sleeping beauty.. Planned to watch a movie, so headed to Tampines Mall 1st to find out the movie timings, but the queue for the tix turned us off… So gave up the thought of movie… walked around Tampines Mall and Century Square in less than an hour as there wasnt really much shops selling what we were looking for.. The cinema at Century Square wasnt crowded, so we decided to catch Fast & Furious 4… Dbsk’s song was used in that show, and it was kinda funny when i heard it.. lolx.. the show was nice, just my type of show.. The cars and racing were whoa… Walked over to Tampines 1, and the crowd hasnt died down yet, including the queue for Uniqlo… The queue for Bus 969 was terrible this time.. had to wait for the 2nd bus b4 we boarded it.. Thankfully the 2nd bus was a bendy bus, if nt, think we’ll have to wait longer b4 reaching home..
1st stop was to meet up with Rat for lunch..While waiting for her to meet us, we had a drink at McCafe.. Ordered Hot Chocolate and i loved the way it appeared.. The milk/chocolate looked like a flower?? Well, was supposed to go to Ming Arcade for Malay Food.. But we went to Hard Rock Cafe instead .. Someone at Hard Rock Cafe was celebrating his bdae, and once again, whole restaurant sang bdae song fer him.. and he had to blow off the candle while standing on a chair with a super duper long straw.. and the toopid waiter had to move the candle all around.. now i know, hard rock cafe & Fish & Co. isnt the place to celebrate bdaes… hahaz.. The ambience there was nice.. noticed a special clock that had the hour hand and second hand but no minute hand.. lolx.. Food there was nice and it was very affordable.. Cost $10 per person, inlcusive of Soup of the Day, Main Course, Drink, 1 mini tub of Haagen Dazs ice-cream, even with GST & service charge…
After lunch, poor rat had to go back to work, while Xue and me went on our shopping tour..
Went to Wisma, Taka, Cineleisure, Heeren, Far East Plaza and John Little Scotts.. Well, you can say that we went to almost all the shopping centres that you can find in Orchard.. While at Taka, we went crazy fer a moment and went in to the Gucci shop, and OMG, the bag that I want is $980.. sigh.. still an extremely long way to go.. but i’m better than Xue, hers cost $1080.. hahaz.. wanted go LV but the queue was like soooo long and they allowed 5 people in each time.. so gave up the idea on queueing up… Had “tea-break” at Taka… Basically it was just an excuse to rest our legs.. From the cafe, Orchard Road looked really really empty as compared to the weekends..
Before we knew it, it was already 7+… Headed back to Northpoint to continue to shop.. wahaha..
*sigh.. know what?? I was taking down the module codes for the current semester, so that it would be easier when buying notes, and I realised there was 7 diff modules… Thats alot?? even though not all are examiable, but still…
sent ting off at the airport today.. she’s gg to australia for 1 year, gonna miss her lots.. was there quite early, so we roamed around the airport, but sadly, there’s nth much for us to roam.. lolx.. we saw one very cute telephone, i think its called play phone.. and we managed to “waste” some time, playing “catch the bunny” on that phone.. hahaz…
seeing hw ting’s family sent her off, makes me envious.. almost the whole of her mother’s side de family came… but, for me, i dun even know how big is my mother’s side de family coz it has been some time since all of us gathered together.. thats sad… there was definitely tears while ting left… ting cried when she saw her mother crying.. then xue cried when she saw ting cry.. hahaz.. i’m strong, so i didnt cry.. ^^
had dinner after ting left.. went to this japanese restaurant.. and we ordered cocktail.. it was kinda strong.. and a poor drinker like me, there would definitely be “side-effects”.. lolx.. nw, i st! ill can feel my tummy “rumbling” perhaps its the alcohol “playing”…
p.s xue also isnt a gd drinker too.. lolx..
