Korean Pop Night Concert 2008

just gotten back from the Korean Pop Night concert..
Thanks to Rhowena for getting the tix fer me..
went with Min’s cousin and 2 friends from the Soompi forum.. made some new friends..
the seats i gotten wasnt too bad..
this concert is somewhat like “Singapore-Korea Friendship Concert”..
The singers were great!! (looks like my cd list is gonna increase once again)..
the stage, wasnt that great.. but wat can we expect when the concert is free..
List of artists : JunJin, Chae Yeon, Jewelry,Lee An, Carrie Yeo, Kim Jong Wook, Andy,V.O.S, 2PM, U-Kiss & Wonder Girls..
All of them looked VERY different as seen on TV programs.. They looked much more fabulous..
Especially Nickhun!!! wahaha..

Korean Flavour Fiesta (Korea Festival 2008)

went to Korean Flavour Fiesta at VivoCity today.. It was part of the Korea Festival 2008.
nothing much to buy as there are still some “stock” from my korea trip.. hahaz..
headed over to the stage area to watch the performances, and before we knew it, it was already 5 plus.. which means i spent over 5 hours there.. wahahaz..
total of 4 performances : Fusion Drum Performance , Taekwondo Demonstration, Sa-Mool-No-Ri Performance & B-Boy Showdown..

Korea Festival 2008 in Singapore

OMG OMG!! I’m filled with excitement when I’m posting this..
Korea Festival 2008 will be held in Singapore..
And for the 1st time, I am hearing such a thing as Korea Festival being held in Singapore..
And what’s best is that there’s gonna be a Korean Pop Night on the 4 Nov at Singapore Indoor Stadium where many Korean artists such as U-Kiss, 2PM, Shinhwa’s JunJin and Andy, Chae Yeon, Peter Hyun, Jewelry, Kim Jong Wook, Wonder Girls and VOS would be performing..
How much I wished I could attend it but I dun think i would stand a chance to get the tickets as they aren’t for sale but instead would be given out through sponsors..
With my fairly small circle of contacts, the chance is down to a 0..
But nvm, just thinking bout having so many Korean artists in Singapore makes me feel great..
Furthermore, there are more events to mark Korea Festival 2008, and I might check out some of those events.. Definetly not gonna miss the “Korean Flavour Fiesta” held on 1&2 Nov @ Vivo as I’m already missing Korea since I was there last month..

Details are sketchy at the moment but the following is an email reply from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea who are the organizers for this event.

“Thanks for expressing your interest in the K-Pop Concert, to be held on 4th November 2008 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

We are very excited to introduce a promising line-up of singers and performers from Korea, including established stars such as the Wonder Girls, Chae Yeon, Andy, JunJin, V.O.S., and Jewelry. Emerging artistes such as U-Kiss, 2PM, Peter and Kim Jong Wook will also feature in the performance on the 4th.

Ticketing arrangements for the K-Pop Concert are still being finalised. Tickets will not be sold through the usual outlets such as SISTIC. Instead, they will be given away over the next few weeks through our key sponsors, Far East Organisation, LG Electronics and Korean Air. You may wish to check with the above-mentioned sponsors on their plans to release tickets to the public.

Korea International Radio will also be holding live quizzes around mid-October to give away free tickets to listeners.

We encourage you to stay tuned for further developments and news in the media over the next few weeks.
